I was so impressed when this arrived. The packaging was absolutely beautiful and made the whole order feel so special. I loved the handwritten card. The cardigan is soft, elegant and beautifully made. Such a gorgeous online shopping experience.

Bought this for Mum’s 60th and it couldn’t have been more perfect. She looked lovely in it and said it was really comfortable to wear. The fit was very flattering and the colours are even nicer in person. So pleased with it. Thanks, Mercer!

Popped into the boutique over the weekend and one of the lovely staff asked if I’d mind leaving a review on their new website. More than happy to! I’ve shopped here for years and I’m so glad I can finally order online now too. Always such friendly service and beautiful pieces.

Great quality jumper, washed it once and held up fine. Had a question about sizing and the response was quick and helpful. Will be back.

Living in this set! So soft and comfy, perfect for working from home. Fabric is much thicker than I expected which is nice. My daughter wants one now too.

Hi, first time buying from you and really made up with it. Good quality and a bit different from what you see everywhere else. A positive experience all round, no issues with delivery. Big thanks, Gerard

Very happy with the Linnea dress. The linen is really good quality and feels lovely on, and it's coming with me to Portugal next month. Delivery was quick too. I'll be getting a lot of wear out of this one.

Lovely loafers, very comfortable from the first wear. Beautiful colour, exactly as pictured. Great service too.

Absolutely in love with my new heels. I was a little nervous ordering shoes online, but they arrived in London before the weekend and fit perfectly. They’re even nicer in person and surprisingly comfortable. So happy I took the chance.

I nearly went with a safer colour but I'm so glad I chose the yellow. It's lovely on and much easier to wear than I expected. Packing it for a friend's wedding in Majorca next week, can't wait to actually wear it out.

Our Story
01
In 2014 we took on a single shopfront on King Street.
Rails in the window, doors open six days a week, and the same team choosing every piece, season after season.
02
For years, people simply found us by walking past.
A Saturday in town, a wander up King Street, a friend saying, "You want to have a look in there."
Just a good shop, clothes worth coming back for, and plenty of word of mouth.
03
Manchester was home, but our customers' lives didn't always stay here.
People moved to Leeds, York, London and further afield. Some came back to Manchester when they could. Others started calling instead.
Usually with the same question:
“Can I order it from you?”
For a long time, the answer was no.
04
This year, we decided the answer should be yes.
We spent the summer photographing, measuring and listing every piece ourselves.
If it’s in the shop, you’ll find it here too.
05
We still choose every piece ourselves, with the same eye for good cloth, a proper cut, and things made to last more than a season.
The only difference?
You no longer need to be in Manchester to shop with us.
06
However you found us, we’re glad you did.
Whether you’ve known Mercer for years or have only just discovered us, thank you for being here — and for being part of what comes next.
Welcome to Mercer.
